PPOAF Hosts Capacity Building Workshop for Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) and Community Development Associations (CDAs) in Ikole-Ekiti

Empowerment December 16, 2025

As part of its maiden intervention activities in Ikole-Ekiti, the Professor Peter Olufemi Adeniyi Foundation (PPOAF) successfully hosted a Capacity Building Workshop for Community-Based Organisations (CBOs), Community Development Associations (CDAs), and Community Leaders (Baba Egbe) across Ikole communities.
The workshop took place on 27th November 2025 at Egbeoba High School, Ikole-Ekiti.

This strategic engagement formed a major component of PPOAF’s inaugural developmental activities in the region. It was designed to strengthen grassroots organisational structures, enhance leadership capacities, and promote sustainable community partnerships. The session equipped participants with practical skills in leadership, partnership building, organisational management, and resource mobilisation—critical tools required to drive meaningful and sustainable community progress.

The workshop reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to empowering local institutions and ensuring that communities have the capacity to initiate, manage, and sustain development efforts. Participants expressed appreciation for the training, acknowledging its impact on their understanding of effective community governance and project implementation.
